At Enginostics Ltd, qualified mechatronics engineers with over 20 years experience carry out the diagnostics and maintenance of your vehicle.
Vehicle technology is advancing at a rate where many in the motoring industry are in danger of falling behind due to lack of knowledge, poor training and equipment. Vehicle manufacturers are continually introducing new and updated systems.
We use the latest lab technology and testing techniques to accurately diagnose issues in electronics, software, hydraulics and mechanical components and systems on all makes and models of vehicles.
noun : Technology combining electronics and mechanical engineering.
Mechatronics is an interdisciplinary area of engineering that combines mechanical and electrical engineering and computer science.
We have developed highly effective diagnostic test procedures using high-end digital storage oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, function generators, dealer level serial tools, logic probes, data loggers, smoke machine, pressure gauges and so forth.
Specialist test equipment is used to simulate the vast amount of engine components to interact with the Engine Control Unit (ECU) just as it would on the vehicle. Extended tests are carried out to pinpoint intermittent faults together with extended road testing and data logging.
We have the capabilities to diagnose and repair issues as listed:
- Rough idling
- Difficult Starting
- DPF Problems
- Turbo Problems
- Poor Fuel Consumption
- Poor Performance
- Battery Drain Issues
- Intermittent Faults
- Convertible Roof Problems
- Air Bag
- ABS / ESP
- Electronic Parking Brake
- Tyre Pressure Monitoring
- Module Coding & Programming
- Air Suspension
- Injector Testing & Cleaning
- ECU & Control Module Repairs
- CAN Bus, Flex Ray & Lin Bus
- Vehicle Software Updates
- General Auto Electrical
- Automatic Transmission
- Diesel Carbon build up
- Cooling system
- Fuel injection systems
- Direct Injection
- Common Rail Diesel
- VW PD (pumpe-deuse) system
ECU decoding allows the engine to start without the ECU having to receive the immobiliser signal. For cases where the immobiliser unit is faulty, not repairable due to cost, age, or new keys are required but problematic to code in, then decoding is the ideal solution. This process involves resetting of the code for re-aligning of the ECU to the immobiliser system. In situations where decoding is not possible (or not desired) then it is possible to carry out an immobiliser reset. This is when the ECU is reset to a state where it can be re-matched to the original (or new) immobiliser on the vehicle.
Enginostics provide a testing and repair service for control modules such as Engine Control Units (ECU), Body Control Modules, comfort and convenience modules, ABS pumps, convertible roof motors, and so forth. We cater for all major vehicle manufacturers.
All repaired modules come with a life time warranty.
Repairs are carried out to the highest standards and cost only a fraction compared to the price of a new unit.
All repairs come with a 12 month warranty.
We work quickly, reliably and cost effectively, delivering all our customers a quality service at an affordable price.
